eCommerce Account Manager
Management · Client Success
About the role
You are the named senior owner on your accounts — the person the client calls and the person who answers for the number. This is not a diary-management role. You set the roadmap, you coordinate the specialists, and you have the commercial conversations, including the uncomfortable ones.
What you will own
- Own the relationship and the outcome for six to eight accounts
- Set and replan the rolling 90-day roadmap with the pod, and hold it to forecast
- Run weekly or fortnightly client calls and circulate notes the same day
- Coordinate SEO, paid, CRO, development and creative so nobody optimises their own metric at another’s expense
- Raise problems before the client notices them — that is the job, not a failure state
- Own renewal, scope and the honest conversation when a channel should be cut
What we are looking for
- Three or more years managing eCommerce accounts, agency side
- Enough depth across SEO, paid and CRO to challenge a specialist’s plan credibly
- Comfort in a P&L conversation — margin, CAC, payback, not just spend and revenue
- A record of retaining clients through a bad quarter as well as a good one
- Clear writing; most of this job happens in a document
Nice to have
- Marketplace account experience
- Shopify Plus or replatforming projects
- Experience managing a junior or a pod
- Retention or lifecycle background
What we offer
Remote-first working with core overlap hours in your pod’s time zone, a training budget that is actually spent, paid platform certifications, a written progression framework reviewed every six months, and two company get-togethers a year. The salary band for this role is shared at the first conversation — before you invest time in a process.
