About the role
You will own eCommerce SEO programmes end to end for three to five client accounts — Shopify, WooCommerce and marketplace brands where organic is a material revenue line rather than a nice-to-have. This is a hands-on role: you run the audits, you write the briefs, you argue the case to the merchant, and you carry the number.
What you will own
- Own the technical, content and authority workstreams for three to five accounts
- Run crawl, log-file and Core Web Vitals audits, then prioritise findings by revenue impact rather than by severity score
- Design collection and category architecture around commercial intent, not around how the catalog happens to be organised
- Brief and edit content with the creative pod, and defend the ones worth keeping
- Own hreflang, canonical and currency handling for clients selling across markets
- Report on non-brand organic revenue and contribution margin, in the same dashboard the client sees
What we are looking for
- Three or more years in eCommerce SEO, agency or in-house
- Genuine technical fluency — Screaming Frog, Search Console, log files, rendering, Core Web Vitals
- Hands-on Shopify or WooCommerce experience, including where each platform fights you
- The ability to explain a recommendation to a sceptical merchant and change your mind when they are right
- Comfort saying that a channel is not worth the investment, including when it is yours
Nice to have
- Marketplace SEO on Amazon or Walmart
- JavaScript rendering and headless storefronts
- Looker Studio or BigQuery for reporting
- A second language for international work
What we offer
Remote-first working with core overlap hours in your pod’s time zone, a training budget that is actually spent, paid platform certifications, a written progression framework reviewed every six months, and two company get-togethers a year. The salary band for this role is shared at the first conversation — before you invest time in a process.
